Job summary

StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a full-time FMS Analyst/Management Analyst/Operations Analyst, Junior to support a major weapons program office. The role coordinates administrative and travel-related functions, serves as the principal DTS point of contact, and ensures compliant execution of travel, records, and correspondence.

  • Customer service focus and Navy documentation knowledge preferred.

Job description

StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time FMS Analyst/Management Analyst/Operations Analyst, Junior to support a major weapons program office. The FMS Analyst/Management Analyst/Operations Analyst is responsible for office operations coordinator and be the principal Defense Travel System (DTS) point of contact, ensuring the efficient execution of administrative and travel-related functions. Manages office operations by applying knowledge of administrative policies, procedures, and organizational practices to develop, maintain, and process correspondence, records, reports, directives, and other official documentation. Oversees DTS travel authorizations, vouchers, and local travel processes, providing guidance to personnel on travel policies and resolving travel-related issues. Coordinates with internal and external offices to obtain required information for reports, special projects, audits, and inquiries. Interprets and adapts established guidelines, policies, and procedures to support office operations, improve administrative processes, and ensure compliance with organizational and Department of Defense requirements.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Supports the efforts and actions of the Case Manager/Program Managers/Team Lead for FMS programs. With other members of the Security Cooperation team, and under direction of the Case Manager/Program Manager/Team Lead, assists the Case Manager in analyzing and managing all aspects of FMS casework in accordance with the Arms Export Control Act, the SAMM and the ITAR as well as applicable DoD Acquisition policy guidance.
  • Receive, open as necessary, and review incoming mail, determine proper routing, reroute as needed, sort into action or non-action categories and file as necessary.
  • Route telephone calls and mail by specific name request or by specific functional area.
  • Replies to inquiries, selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, other offices, etc.
  • Maintain, transfer, retire, or purge file systems as required.
  • Prepare and submit travel request documents in accordance with local, joint and federal travel regulations.
  • Review travel claims for regulatory compliance, prepare and submit claims for government official approval.
  • Update and Maintain various tasker and tracking databases.
  • Update and maintain calendars and schedules.
Experience Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a customer and business oriented position.
  • Knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS) required.
  • Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office software, demonstrated verbal and written skills, brief preparation.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of the Navy Correspondence manual preferred.
  • Knowledge of Navy Program Office Management operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of DOD SAP policies and procedures relating to Foreign Military Sales (FMS), desired.
Education Requirements:
  • BA/BS Degree.
  • Allowable Substitution for Bachelor's Degree
    • Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
OR
  • Four (4) years additional work experience, beyond the required experience outlined for the particular labor category, performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $55,000.00 -$74,000.00. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates level of knowledge, education, experience and skill sets.
