Job summary

Springhill Medical Center is seeking a dedicated FMLA/Leave Specialist to oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations across FMLA, ADA, and related state/local laws. Ideal candidates hold a HR-related bachelor’s degree, have several years of leave management experience, and possess strong communication, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
• Five years of human resource experience preferred including leave management.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Certification or training on FMLA/leave administration a plus.
• Experience with UKG a plus.

Job Summary: The FMLA/Leave Specialist will oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
• Five years of human resource experience preferred including leave management.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Completion of specialized certification or training on FMLA/leave administration a plus.
• Experience with UKG a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
