Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company seeks an Equipment and Machine Operator to run a fly ash loading facility, oversee loading, billing, and testing, and uphold safety standards. This full-time role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year in a related field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; training or certification in relevant skill or trade.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence; communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret data.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate fly ash loading facility and oversee loading, billing, and testing.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain communication with host facility.
• Monitor fly ash levels and place orders as needed.
• Perform tests on fly ash and prepare samples for customers.
• Operate truck scales; issue tickets and billing information.
• Operate loading equipment for trucks/rail cars; may use forklift.
• Maintain and clean equipment and facilities; arrange maintenance as needed.
• Ensure plant safety; complete paperwork and reports.
• Attend regularly with timeliness and scheduling flexibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
