Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, Inc. is seeking an FGSE Engineer to own the lifecycle of critical fluid systems at launch sites, test stands, and production facilities.

You will design, simulate, and build fluid systems for Alpha, Eclipse, Elytra, and Blue Ghost, collaborating with technicians and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operation. You will lead design reviews, develop P&IDs, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards, while traveling to sites to support builds and activations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with fluid systems design and testing.
• Experience creating P&IDs and selecting components.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and build fluid test stands and launch pad systems.
• Own the full design cycle from schematics to BOMs and drawings.
• Collaborate with technicians and welders to resolve real-world issues.
• Lead internal and external design reviews and readiness reviews.
• Travel to test and launch sites as needed (up to 30%).
