Veeco Instruments Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer specializing in fluidics to design reliable chemical and gas handling systems for next-generation wet processing equipment. You will translate customer specs into engineered solutions and lead cross-functional design reviews to balance performance, safety, and manufacturability.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years in capital equipment design; MS is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required with 2+ years in capital equipment design.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or equivalent 3D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize fluid handling architectures meeting customer specs, safety and reliability.
• Translate specs into practical system designs and engineering documentation.
• Select valves, regulators, sensors and other fluidic components for precision control.
• Lead design reviews balancing technical, manufacturing and cost trade-offs.
• Drive validation by developing and executing test plans to confirm performance.
• Support system build and troubleshooting during assembly and bring-up.
• Champion continuous improvement in fluidics design to reduce cycle time.
