Location: Remote, United States | 75% Travel
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 Base + Benefits
Industry: High-Purity Fluid Systems | Advanced Engineering | Data Centers
The Opportunity
Have you worked on complex high-purity piping, process fluid or critical mechanical systems and considered applying your expertise to the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market?
We're supporting a specialist engineering consultancy delivering technical oversight, quality assurance and commissioning support for advanced liquid cooling systems used in next-generation data centers.
As a Fluid Systems Engineer, you'll apply your knowledge of fluid distribution, system cleanliness, mechanical installation and commissioning to ensure mission-critical infrastructure meets demanding performance and reliability requirements.
We're particularly interested in engineers who have developed their expertise within high-purity construction, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing or other technically demanding fluid system environments.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight during the installation, commissioning and startup of complex fluid distribution and cooling systems.
- Assess mechanical installation quality, piping configurations, system cleanliness and commissioning readiness.
- Support cleaning, flushing, filling, purging and verification activities for closed-loop fluid systems.
- Identify installation inconsistencies, contamination risks and potential system reliability concerns.
- Work closely with mechanical contractors, project engineers, quality teams and end customers.
- Support QA/QC inspections, technical documentation, issue tracking and project reporting.
- Review field activities against project procedures, technical requirements and commissioning expectations.
- Provide clear technical observations and recommendations to project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
We'd be interested in speaking with candidates from backgrounds including:
- High-purity piping and process fluid systems.
- Pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing facilities.
- Food and beverage process engineering.
- Industrial fluid distribution and mechanical construction.
- Clean utility systems and high-specification process installations.
- Mechanical contracting, construction quality and technical project engineering.
Ideally, you'll bring experience in some of the following:
- Complex piping installations, fluid distribution networks, pumps and valves.
- Construction-phase engineering, mechanical QA/QC or commissioning.
- System cleanliness, flushing, pressure testing or operational readiness.
- Working with P&IDs, engineering documentation and installation procedures.
- Coordinating with contractors, customers and multidisciplinary project teams.
A relevant engineering degree is preferred, although equivalent experience in technically demanding fluid systems will be considered.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Work directly within one of the fastest-growing areas of data center infrastructure.
- Gain exposure to advanced liquid cooling technologies supporting AI and HPC deployments.
- Join a specialist, growing engineering business with opportunities for professional development.
- Work on major projects across the United States.
- $100,000 - $120,000 + 10% bonus & comprehensive benefits, 401(k) matching and professional development support.
- Better work-life balance: Enjoy a more predictable working week, typically around 40–45 hours, without the routine overtime or extended shifts often associated with construction and commissioning projects.
