Join a leading global AI infrastructure company, a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider delivering large-scale data centres and GPU clusters for AI training and inference, currently expanding its next‑generation, renewable‑powered data centre portfolio across Spain.

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Systems Lead to take ownership of the critical liquid cooling infrastructure supporting high‑density GPU environments in Sweetwater, TX. The ideal candidate will work hands‑on with pumps, filtration, heat exchangers, hydronic systems, and Central Utility Plant equipment, bringing experience from hospitals, military facilities, central utility plants, power generation, or other critical environments rather than requiring prior data centre background.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day‑to‑day operation of critical mechanical and liquid cooling systems across the data center
  • Operate and maintain Central Utility Plant equipment including chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, condenser water systems, hydronic/glycol loops and VFDs
  • Support liquid cooling infrastructure including CDUs, manifolds, pumps, filtration and leak detection systems
  • Monitor equipment and plant performance through BMS, SCADA and PLC systems
  • Complete operating rounds and identify potential equipment or performance issues before they impact uptime
  • Respond to alarms, equipment failures and abnormal operating conditions within a live 24/7 environment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs across critical mechanical infrastructure
  • Coordinate contractors and vendors completing maintenance, repairs and equipment upgrades
  • Support water treatment and chemistry programs across cooling and hydronic systems
  • Adjust equipment sequencing and operating strategies in response to changing cooling loads
  • Track system reliability, uptime, efficiency and maintenance performance
  • Support capacity planning, infrastructure upgrades and future site expansion
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation and respond to critical mechanical issues when required

Skills/Must have:

  • 5+ years of experience operating or maintaining mechanical systems within a critical or industrial environment
  • Experience within data centres, hospitals, military facilities, central utility plants, power generation, heavy industrial or oil & gas environments
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, chillers, heat exchangers, filtration, hydronic systems and/or cooling water infrastructure
  • Experience working with equipment where uptime and system reliability are critical
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault‑finding capabilities
  • Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Exposure to BMS, SCADA and/or PLC systems
  • Liquid cooling, HPC or data center experience advantageous but not essential
  • Military/Navy mechanical, utilities or plant operations backgrounds strongly considered
  • Comfortable participating in an on‑call rotation and working overtime when required
  • Must be willing to permanently relocate to and work on‑site in Sweetwater, TX

Benefits:

  • 100% company‑paid medical, dental and vision premiums for employees
  • 75% company‑paid healthcare coverage for dependents
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays
  • Company‑paid short‑term and long‑term disability insurance
  • Professional development and certification support
  • Overtime available for hours worked over 40 per week
  • $300/week living allowance for the first 3 months to support relocation

Salary:

  • Up to $36 per hour + Overtime
