Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Manager for the Fluid Solutions Division, based in Elmwood Park, NJ. You will lead a team of Service Technicians, drive maintenance quality, and manage costs and P&L to build a profitable location.

Collaborate with the Branch Manager to deliver safety-focused, efficient service and strong customer satisfaction. Join a large equipment rental pioneer and help shape daily operations with leadership, maintenance know-how, and business management expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience leading service technicians in maintenance environments.
• Ability to manage P&L and maintenance budgets.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processes
• Staff location adequately based on skills and workload
• Responsible for R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget
• Lead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics
• Oversee parts department activities, to ensure optimal customer service, technician/shops/OEC productivity and cost control
• Evaluate performance and promotability of team members. Identify and provide necessary skills training and regular coaching
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication
• Other duties assigned as needed
