Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Orono, MN is seeking a Fluid Power Technician to test hydraulic manifolds per customer specifications and troubleshoot issues arising during automated and manual tests.

You will read hydraulic schematics, prepare manifolds for assembly, stage jobs, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Technicians to improve testing methods and procedures. The role runs 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, on-site in Orono with pay of $22–$24 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Hydraulic Engineering Technician diploma or AAS, or Pneumatic Engineering Technician diploma or AAS.
• Certified Fluid Power Specialist is desirable.
• 1-2 years’ experience in the previous position.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots for solutions to issues from automated and manual tests and recommends changes.

Job description

The Fluid Power Technician contributes to assembly process by testing hydraulic manifolds per customer specifications and troubleshooting effectively.

• Troubleshoots for solutions to issues arising from automated tests and manual tests. Recommends changes when appropriate.
• Work with employees in other departments, including Manufacturing Engineering Technicians for Assembly and Testing, to address issues in testing methods and procedures.
• Trains new and current employees to ensure policies, procedures and work instructions are understood and followed.
• Tests using Automated Hydraulic benches and manual applications and inspects products following specifications and requirements
• Reads and deciphers hydraulic schematics.
• Uses company intranet and business software to gather and record information per work instruction.
• Maintains company and/or management reports, such as Test Bench PM’s and Test Bench Validations.
• Prepares manifolds for assembly, stages jobs, and moves assemblies as needed.
• Assembles products following specifications and requirements

Job Qualifications

• Hydraulic Engineering Technician diploma or AAS degree; or Pneumatic Engineering Technician diploma or AAS degree; or Certified as a Fluid Power Specialist desired, or 1 to 2 years’ experience in previous position.
• Basic computer skills
