Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical and/or Computer, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in developing and maintaining machinery and equipment in manufacturing, preferably with press and automation systems in stamping.
• Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience coordinating design & construction activities in automotive environments.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, procure, integrate, and validate pneumatic and hydraulic systems for press and automation equipment.
• Develop and review fluid-power architectures, schematics, BOMs, and component specs.
• Size pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, manifolds, and other fluid-power components.
• Evaluate system pressure, flow, force, and energy consumption.
• Interface fluid-power with electrical controls, PLCs, sensors, and safety systems.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures and downtime.
• Support installation, runoffs, commissioning, and production launches at supplier and plant locations.
• Analyze performance data to identify uptime and cost improvements.
