Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to families and customers at Cedar Memorial Park's Flower Shop.
• Answer phone calls and transfer to the appropriate Associate as needed.
• Answer questions about merchandise and restock as directed from stock rooms or floor.
• Use the POS system to record orders and process payments.
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and storage of floral materials and related decorations.
• Assist in floral design work and selecting materials for arrangements.

Job Summary:

The Flower Shop Assistant provides exceptional customer service to families and customers. The Flower Shop Assistant should show customers appropriate empathy for those experiencing difficult life events, with a calm demeanor suitable for the occasion.

We are seeking a part-time team member to work approximately 15-25 hours per week. Scheduled hours will generally fall between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional customer service to families and customers that select The Flower Shop at Cedar Memorial Park.
• Answering phone calls and handling the needs of callers or transferring calls to the appropriate Associate for assistance.
• Answers questions about merchandise and retrieves merchandise as needed from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations. Restocks merchandise as directed.
• Utilizes the point-of-sale system to record orders and process payments.
• Assists with stocking, organizing, and storage of live, cut, dried, and artificial floral materials and related decorations. Assist with pricing items as directed by Management.
• Uses appropriate mechanics in floral design work, ensuring quality and integrity of the design and materials for delivery.
• Assists in selecting appropriate materials for both live and artificial arrangements.
• Assists in the daily maintenance and cleaning of the shop, workroom, cooler, and equipment as directed.
• With training, the placement of floral tributes at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery is provided.
• As needed, provides delivery of floral arrangements in a company vehicle.
• Performs other duties as requested.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:
