Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Some experience in flow cytometry is preferred.
• Candidates for Technologist I: keen interest in flow cytometry; for Technologist II: at least 2 years of clinical lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties in all laboratory sections, as assigned.
• Review test orders and verify accuracy of corresponding specimens.
• Maintain digital files in a neat and accessible manner.
• Accurately maintain specimen identity from entry to the lab to release of results.
• Navigate laboratory information systems proficiently.
• Be aware of and contribute to the safety and cleanliness of the laboratory.
• Restock reagents and supplies as necessary.
• Assure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory's Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Handle the physical environment of the laboratory in accordance with New York State DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Provide direction, training, and feedback on routine laboratory procedures, as assigned.
