BioMérieux Inc. in Illinois is seeking an Associate Scientist to develop custom flow cytometry assays on the Accellix platform and expand our catalog of assay kits. You will support automated analysis algorithms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure verification and validation of assays.

The role emphasizes GMP adherence, meticulous documentation, and participation in tech transfer to manufacturing, with opportunities to present updates to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry with 2+ years of flow cytometry experience or HS diploma with 6+ years in flow cytometry
• Experience designing and executing flow cytometry assays, including antibody titrations and multicolor optimization
• Proficiency with FlowJo or similar software and ability to analyze data and present results

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify flow cytometry panels on the Accellix platform, optimizing formulations and protocols
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify and validate assays and meet requirements
• Provide analysis and feedback for automated analysis software
• Follow GMP in lab and document procedures and results
• Draft and edit protocols for assay kit manufacturing and QC; support tech transfer to manufacturing
• Present project updates and lead brainstorming discussions with internal and external audiences
• Maintain good communication and assist team to meet deadlines amid shifting priorities
• Characterize assays including verification and validation studies
• Adhere to company quality procedures and standards
