Job summary

Harvard Medical School is seeking a Flow Cytometry Operator to join the Flow Cytometry Core Facility. You will participate in operation, maintenance, and quality control of top-flow cytometers and cell sorters, supporting researchers across multiple departments.

You will provide guidance on experimental design, perform sorting services, and help with administrative tasks to keep the facility running smoothly. The role requires curiosity, teamwork, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• College background or equivalent work experience.
• One to two years of related experience, preferably in flow cytometry or a related analysis technique.
• Familiarity with data analysis software like FlowJo, FACSDiva, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and quality-control flow cytometers and cell sorters.
• Perform cell sorting services for researchers at HMS; advise on experimental design and execution.
• Participate in general administrative duties for facility operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with diverse research teams and communicate results clearly.
