Job summary

Harvard Medical School's Flow Cytometry Core Facility is seeking a Flow Cytometry Operator to support cutting-edge research across departments. You will operate, maintain, and QC high-end flow cytometers and cell sorters, and perform cell sorting for HMS researchers while advising on experimental design and execution.

This two-year term position emphasizes collaboration, careful data handling, and hands-on lab work.

Qualifications

• College background or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years related experience in flow cytometry or related analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and quality-control flow cytometers and cell sorters.
• Perform cell sorting services for HMS researchers and advise on experimental design.
• Provide general administrative support for the facility’s operation and maintenance.
• Train new staff or trainees as needed.
