Qualifications

• Licensed by NYSDOH as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or biology/chemistry/physical sciences.
• At least one year of clinical laboratory experience.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine molecular testing including sample processing, nucleic acid extraction and PCR.
• Conduct Next Generation Sequencing and related QC procedures.
• Maintain and validate equipment; assist in new assay validation as directed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with JCAHO, NYS DOH and CAP.
• Prepare reagents and supplies; document results and data.
