Job summary

Children’s National Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist specialized in Flow Cytometry to support pediatric diagnostics. You will maintain instruments, run complex tests, and help with data analysis under supervision of pathologists.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, 3 years in an accredited lab, 1 year in flow cytometry, and MT(ASCP) eligibility. On-site role in Washington, DC with regular weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Medical Technology or equivalent field to meet CLIA 88.
  • 3 years in an accredited clinical laboratory is required.
  • 1 year in an accredited lab working in Flow Cytometry is required.
  • Registry or eligible as MT(ASCP) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex flow cytometry tests and analyze data for diagnostics.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and back up flow cytometry instrumentation.
  • Assist pathologists with data interpretation and validations as needed.
  • Train new technologists and support team members.
