Job summary

Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist for the Send-Out Lab. You will perform a wide array of tests across blood bank, chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, virology and genetics, ensuring accurate and timely results.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, MT(ASCP) registry, and at least 1 year in an accredited clinical lab. You will document results, maintain instrumentation, and support quality control and LIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Medical Technology or equivalent field (Required).
• 1 year of experience in an accredited clinical laboratory (Required).
• Knowledge of LIS and MT(ASCP) registry/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine technical procedures following SOPs in assigned areas.
• Record and report results; operate and maintain equipment.
• Monitor quality control standards and keep up with procedure updates.
• Serve as technical resource for Medical Lab Technicians and Laboratory Associates.
