Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Manager, Flow Cytometry Laboratory to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on leading department planning, staffing, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services in a compliant environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive laboratory leadership experience, a strong background in regulatory standards, and a track record of driving process improvements and client-facing activities.

Qualifications

• Six years experience in a laboratory following clinical training, plus 2 years supervisory or management experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or other Life Science; or Medical Technology degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage department planning and delivery of testing services.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, ISO15189, and NYSDOH regulations, quality and on-time delivery.
• Recruit, train, develop and retain staff and supervisory personnel for effective performance and oversight.
• Monitor and report on performance and results against targets and global standards.
• Coordinate departmental activities in support of other functional areas.
• Assist director in establishing globally consistent production standards.
• Participate in client visits, audits and inquiries; fulfill requests and audit findings.
• Communicate CLS goals and strategy to lab and department.
• Support Six Sigma and other process improvements.
• Support marketing and sales in client testing requests.
• Provide support to department director, site director, and global director.
