This position involves various laboratory functions, including data entry, answering telephones, mail distribution, copying, faxing, scanning, sending reports, handling reference lab issues, specimen management, and assisting with secretarial duties.

Essential Functions

• Perform data entry for patient demographics, requisitions, and imaging.
• Handle specimens, including printing labels, sorting samples, completing paperwork for add-on testing, documenting storage and transport electronically, and packaging samples for reference testing.
• Maintain and stock departmental supplies.
• Perform lab cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Receive and direct inbound calls from healthcare professionals and clients, providing appropriate assistance.
• Gather and communicate client inquiry and complaint information to the Client Services team for follow-up.
• Handle difficult calls professionally and courteously.
• Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, inventory management, and mail distribution.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures outlined in manuals.
• Comply with the Corporate Compliance Program, including Privacy and Security policies.
