Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking a Flow Cytometry Core Lead to manage daily operations, maintain instruments, and provide expert support for high-parameter flow cytometry projects.

The role involves advising researchers on panel design, data acquisition, and analysis, while coordinating with core director on SOPs, training, and contracts. Strong leadership and deep instrument knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience operating flow cytometers and cell sorters; familiarity with multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily startup, calibration, routine maintenance, and operation of flow cytometers and cell sorters (BD, Cytek, Thermo).
• Design panels and perform unmixing and reagent optimization as requested by users.
• Provide user support and consult on experimental design, SOPs, and training materials.
• Assist with data analysis and management; maintain accurate experiment records and instrument usage.
• Support contracts and strategic development of core facilities.
