Zoetis in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an Analytical Development Flow Cytometry Intern to support vaccine analysis projects. You will work with project teams to develop improved analytical methods and apply flow cytometry to regulatory needs.

Responsibilities include operating flow cytometers, compensation, data analysis in FlowJo, assay design and transfer, and presenting findings to partner groups. Minimum MS enrollment in life sciences is required; strong flow cytometry and tissue culture skills

Qualifications

Be a self-motivated student applying their experience to a vaccine analysis problem.
Must be proficient at flow cytometry and analysis of resultant data.
Familiarity with tissue culture and sterile technique.
Enrolled in an MS or graduating with an MS and entering a PhD program in the fall.
Education in a field related to a life science.

Responsibilities

Operate and troubleshoot flow cytometers and determine voltages and acquisition settings.
Perform compensation and develop gating strategies.
Assess instrument performance and data quality.
Analyze data in FlowJo.
Design and optimize fit-for-purpose assays.
Collaborate with partner groups to define assay needs and goals.
Write clear protocols covering procedures, controls, and troubleshooting.
Document assay development, optimization, and transfer methods.
Present findings and recommendations to partner groups.
