Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a summer Intern for Vaccine Innovation in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The role provides hands-on experience in liposomal formulations, molecular assays, cell-based studies, and in vivo models under mentoring scientists.

You will collaborate across disciplines on vaccine projects, prepare reports, and gain exposure to pharmaceutical formulation and veterinary medicine while developing practical skills in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong STEM foundation in biology or related fields.
• Experience with tissue culture and cell lines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, characterize, and evaluate liposomal delivery systems.
• Use molecular assays to characterize nucleic acids and proteins.
• Maintain cell cultures and perform in-vitro cell assays.
• Assist with cross-disciplinary formulation, purification, and design.
• Collaborate to design experiments, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Support ongoing vaccine projects under mentorship.
