Zoetis Veterinary Medicine Research and Development in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Sr. Associate Scientist to advance vaccine projects from early research through late-stage development.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in microbiology, immunology, virology, biochemistry or analytical chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of two years of industry experience.
• Laboratory experience in bacterial or viral characterization.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform biologics testing including ELISA, western blotting, SDS-PAGE, PCRs and immunofluorescence.
• Conduct metabolite and endotoxin analysis using appropriate platforms.
• Prepare reagents, media and buffers; manage lab supplies and safety.
• Document and communicate results in electronic notebooks and reports.
• Collaborate with Analytical Sciences, Process Development and Biological Research teams.
