Job Summary

We are seeking dependable Florist Helpers for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA, supporting a busy flower shop operation in the Hollywood Hills area. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates who enjoy active work, take pride in maintaining clean and organized spaces, and are comfortable helping with floral preparation, delivery, and placement for services and interment sites. Florist Helpers play an important support role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. You will assist in the backroom workshop, maintain flower storage areas, handle deliveries, and help ensure floral arrangements are prepared and placed with care. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1 to 2 years of related experience who is looking for steady work, supportive teamwork, and the potential to grow into a long-term position.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the flower shop workroom, refrigerators, display area, and general workspace in a clean, neat, and organized condition.
• Empty and clean water buckets, remove trash daily, sweep floors, and assist with daily opening and closing cleanup tasks.
• Support floral shop operations by handling flowers, supplies, and arrangements with care.
• Make deliveries using company vehicles and ensure items are transported safely and professionally.
• Place floral arrangements at interment sites and services according to instructions and service expectations.
• Assist team members with general backroom, workshop, and customer support-related tasks as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
• Employment type: Temp-to-hire.
• Schedule requirement: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Location: Los Angeles, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Maintain flower shop work areas, coolers, and display spaces throughout the day.
• Make local deliveries using company vehicles.
• Place floral arrangements at interment sites and services with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Assist with daily cleaning, organization, and flower handling duties.
• 1 to 2 years of related work experience preferred for this level of role.
• Valid driver license required.
• Must be able to pass a physical as required for the position.
• Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and cleaning throughout the shift.
• Comfortable driving company vehicles and making deliveries in the local area.
• Reliable attendance and availability for weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions carefully.
• Professional, respectful, and team-oriented approach to work.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a flower shop, floral department, delivery role, grounds support, hospitality, customer service, or similar hands-on environment.
• Familiarity with handling flowers, floral arrangements, or delicate products.
• Experience working in service-focused environments where professionalism, reliability, and attention to presentation are important.
