Job summary

Ardmore Roderick is a full-service infrastructure solutions firm seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team on a client site in Florida. The role requires daily presence on site and oversight of QA/QC to ensure adherence to contract documents and safety standards.

You will perform field inspections, verify plans and specs, coordinate with contractors and maintain logs, while ensuring OSHA and client standards are met; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5–10 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience on maritime or port infrastructure projects preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• As the primary field representative, oversee contractor QA/QC to ensure compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily field inspections to verify plans, specs and contract requirements.
• Serve as the onsite field representative for Florida projects.
• Monitor workmanship, materials and installation methods for quality and compliance.
• Maintain daily logs of activities, including work performed, labor, equipment and site conditions.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety requirements, including OSHA and client standards.
• Coordinate inspection activities around client schedules and safety zones to minimize disruption.
• Review and verify installed quantities to support contractor progress payments.
