Ardmore Roderick is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team on a client site in Florida, with a daily on-site presence required. You will serve as the primary field representative, ensuring QA/QC adherence and compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has extensive construction inspection experience, especially in maritime or port infrastructure projects, and is proficient with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–10 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience on maritime/port infrastructure projects preferred.
• Ability to conduct site inspections in outdoor/industrial environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections to verify conformance with plans and specs.
• Oversee contractor QA/QC to ensure contract and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor workmanship, materials and installation methods at the site.
• Maintain daily activity logs including labor, equipment and site conditions.
• Coordinate inspections around client schedules and safety zones.
• Review installed quantities to support progress payments.

, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located at our client site in

and requires a daily presence at the site.

Key Responsibilities

As the primary field representative, this team member ensures contractor adherence to quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) protocols by overseeing construction activities to ensure strict compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirementsPerform daily field inspections to verify that construction activities comply with plans, technical specifications and contract requirementsServe as the onsite field representative for our Florida projectsMonitor contractor workmanship, materials and installation methods to ensure quality and complianceMaintain daily logs of activities, including work performed, labor, equipment and site conditionsEnsure all work adheres to safety requirements, including OSHA and client standardsCoordinate inspection activities around client schedules and operational safety zones to minimize disruption to building operationsReview and verify installed quantities to support contractor progress payments

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent5–10 years of construction inspection experienceDemonstrated and relevant experience working on maritime, wharf, harbor or port infrastructure projects that service large shipsPhysical ability to conduct site inspections in outdoor and industrial environmentsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeHave a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal formsHave good to great organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced technical degree in construction management or civil engineering technologyKnowledge of independent testing and third-party inspection activities
