Job summary
RS&H is seeking an experienced Lead Federal QA Inspector / Engineering Technician to support federal building and facility construction projects in Key West, Florida. The role serves as the on-site Owner’s Representative, monitoring activities to ensure quality and safety compliance with contract documents and federal standards.
The successful candidate will lead inspection staff, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with contractors, federal clients, and project teams throughout delivery
Qualifications
- Experience performing on-site construction inspections for building projects.
- Experience serving as Owner’s Representative, Lead Inspector, Senior Inspector, or Engineering Technician on complex builds.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the continuous on-site Owner’s Representative for federal building projects.
- Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with plans, specs, and federal requirements.
- Inspect work, materials, and workmanship to meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Monitor contractor compliance with CQM, QAP, and project specs.
- Verify EM 385-1-1 safety requirements and project safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed reports, records, testing docs, photos, and correspondence.
- Guide and mentor inspectors and technicians; coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
