Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years acute care hospital inpatient coding experience or completion of AdventHealth inpatient coding training.
• Certification: CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC required/licensed.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding and inpatient reimbursement processes.
• Ability to interpret clinical documentation and identify coding risks.

Required qualifications

• Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding and inpatient reimbursement processes
