Safe Site Utility Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our Florida field operations. You will oversee field personnel across utility locating, SUE, mapping, and Hydrovac, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication with customers, and the ability to balance workforce needs with project deadlines. Travel throughout Florida and collaboration with scheduling, project management, and regional leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in utility locating, SUE, hydro-excavation, underground utilities, construction, or related fields.
• Previous supervisory or operations management experience.
• Familiarity with private utility locating and underground utility investigation practices.
• Understanding of hydro‑excavation/potholing operations and safety requirements.
• Ability to travel throughout Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct operational oversight for Florida field personnel across locating, SUE, mapping, and Hydrovac operations.
• Coordinate with scheduling, project management, and regional leadership to ensure staffing and support.
• Manage daily and weekly workloads based on priorities, geography, and deadlines.
• Monitor field productivity, project progress, and overall operational efficiency.
• Identify risks and develop proactive solutions.
• Promote Safe Site's values and maintain safety and quality standards.
• Maintain strong communication with customers and ensure delivery of required deliverables.
