Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Drainage Project Manager in Florida to lead transportation drainage efforts and help establish a growing drainage practice. From day one, you’ll influence standards, mentor staff, and build a Florida drainage team within a larger transportation operation.

You will work with an established leadership team to deliver major transportation projects, grow the practice, and position yourself as the technical leader for drainage in the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of transportation drainage experience.
• Strong understanding of roadway drainage design, hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and permitting.
• Experience with FDOT projects, standards, and design criteria preferred.
• Experience leading drainage tasks or serving as Drainage EOR.
• Proficiency with industry-standard drainage design and modeling software.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Desire to mentor staff and help build a growing technical practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage and stormwater design efforts for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Serve as Drainage Engineer of Record (EOR) on projects as appropriate.
• Prepare and oversee drainage reports, stormwater management plans, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and permit documentation.
• Coordinate with roadway, structures, traffic, utilities, environmental, and construction teams to deliver successful projects.
• Provide quality control reviews and technical guidance for drainage deliverables.
• Develop drainage design standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
• Assist with proposal development, project pursuits, and client presentations.
• Support business development activities and foster relationships with transportation agencies and local clients.
• Play a key role in recruiting, developing, and growing a Florida drainage team.
