Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Active Florida PE license or reciprocity within a reasonable timeframe.
• 8+ years of drainage engineering experience supporting transportation or municipal projects.
• Strong knowledge of Florida drainage criteria and permitting requirements.
• Experience preparing drainage reports and hydraulic/hydrologic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform drainage analyses and design for transportation, municipal, and land development projects.
• Prepare drainage reports, calculations, plans, specifications, and supporting documentation.
• Design stormwater management systems, culverts, and roadway drainage infrastructure.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using standard software.
• Coordinate with project managers, roadway engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare permit applications and support agency coordination with FDOT, SJRWMD, and local authorities.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in client meetings and business development.
