Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Aviation Project Engineer to join the Florida Infrastructure team, focusing on airside facilities—runways, taxiways, aprons—and landside road and site development. This role emphasizes collaboration, client communication, and strong design capabilities across multiple Florida locations.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Civil Engineering, a Florida P.E. or ability to obtain within 6 months, and 6+ years in airport infrastructure and transportation design.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering/design of civil aviation airport improvements.
• Thorough knowledge and application of FAA design standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of FAA/state airport funding processes.
• Proficiency with engineering design software and MS Office.
• Ability to balance independent and collaborative work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts for aviation airport improvements including pavement, drainage, utilities, and landside/site projects.
• Coordinate and direct technical staff to produce high-quality deliverables.
• Review plans for conformance with scope and FAA/industry standards.
• Possibly seal and approve own projects.
• Interact with Stantec clients and review plans for conformance with FAA design standards.
