Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a reliable team member for the floral department in Carlisle, PA. The role focuses on entering orders, scheduling work, supervising and training staff, receiving, storing and stocking items, checking dates, and performing department tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include directing daily activities, assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring accurate inventory control while meeting safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must read, write, and communicate to perform job duties and comply with safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 lb.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have 1 year of work experience or technical training (this is a job specific requirement).
• Must have keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare for duties.
• Direct the day's activities to be completed by the team.
• Responsible for achieving all KPI's for the floral department.
• Use a U-boat to get inventory from receiving and stock into the floral cooler.
• Make arrangements, help customers, wrap flowers and plants, and inflate balloons as required.
• Keep the department and cooler clean.
• Track and record loss.
