Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Promote trust and respect among associates.
2. Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
3. Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
4. Monitor and maintain sanitation to company standards and health department regulations.
5. Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitor conditions and appearance of same throughout the department.
6. Merchandise and display products to increase sales.
7. Implement price changes and monitor scan integrity.
8. Monitor product quality, remove poor quality product.
9. Control and monitor inventory throughout the department and maintain FTD records.
10. Communicate with vendors, monitor and control inventory received.
11. Implement all company programs as directed and communicate purpose, objectives, and procedures to team members.
12. Review display planners and implement to company guidelines.
13. Prepare and hang signs as needed.
14. Prepare for and perform inventory.
15. Attend required classes and meetings.
16. Review department statements, follow up on discrepancies.
17. Communicate information to upper management and store personnel.
18. Review department bulletins, follow through, and implement all company programs.
19. Complete required forms.
20. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions, notifying store management.
21. Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
22. Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
23. Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
24. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math.

Desired

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Floral experience.
• Retail experience.
• Second language: speaking, reading, and/or writing.
