Job Description

Responsibilities
- Promote trust and respect among associates.
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
- Monitor and maintain sanitation to company standards and health department regulations.
- Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitor conditions and appearance of items throughout the department.
- Merchandise and display products to increase sales.
- Implement price changes and monitor scan integrity.
- Monitor product quality, remove poor-quality products.
- Control and monitor inventory throughout the department and maintain FTD records.
- Communicate with vendors, monitor and control inventory received.
- Implement all company programs as directed and communicate purpose, objectives, and procedures to team members.
- Review display planners and implement them according to company guidelines.
- Prepare and hang signs as needed.
- Prepare for and perform inventory counts.
- Attend required classes and meetings.
- Review department statements, follow up on discrepancies.
- Communicate information to upper management and store personnel.
- Review department bulletins, follow through, and implement all company programs.
- Complete required forms.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify store management.
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate personnel of repairs.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report safety risks, illegal activity, robbery, theft, or fraud.
- Perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic math.
Desired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Floral experience.
- Retail experience.
- Second language skills: speaking, reading, and/or writing.
