Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Floral Department Supervisor to implement company policies and lead a high-performing team in the Floral section. You will model core values and drive sales, accuracy in ordering, merchandising, and customer care.

The role requires managing receiving, pricing, and delivery orders, coaching staff, and maintaining records while upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Weekend and holiday work are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations by floral department staff through personal example of friendliness and courtesy and implementation of all company policies.
• Handle customer complaints with tact and professionalism.
• Receive, process, and produce Florist Transworld Delivery orders for delivery.
• Coach and train on pricing, price marking, rotation, stocking and customer service.
• Support a Customer 1st culture and company initiatives.
• Plan, organize, direct and control floral department activities.
• Direct receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all floral products.
• Maintain stock and supplies and guard against waste and pilferage.
• Maintain records and reports and use them effectively.
• Ensure good house cleaning in all areas.
• Periodically analyze floral department operations and recommend changes to store manager.
• Provide positive direction to direct reports and conduct performance reviews.
• Handle high paced and stressful environments and resolve conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity in handling information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
• Interact with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be perceptive and handle customer complaints.
• Responsible for receiving, processing, and producing Florist Transworld Delivery orders for delivery
• Coach and train on pricing, price marking, rotation, stocking, insuring the proper emphasis on customer courtesy and productivity.
• Provide active support of our Customer 1st culture.
• Plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Floral Department.
• Direct the receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all floral products.
• Order properly to maintain adequate stock and supplies and guard against waste and pilferage.
• Maintain and submit required records and reports and use them effectively.
• Maintain effective and good house cleaning in all areas
• Analyze continuously all aspects of Floral Department and periodically make changes or make recommendations to store manager.
• Promote, communicate and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive manner.
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
