Job summary

Rite Rug is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced flooring distribution environment in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, and timely order fulfillment while maintaining a safe, organized workplace.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of warehouse experience, 1 year in a leadership role, forklift experience, and basic computer skills including WMS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years warehouse experience, preferably in flooring, building materials, distribution, or logistics environments.
• At least 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including WMS, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, coach, and support warehouse associates in daily operations.
• Assign work activities and monitor productivity to meet goals.
• Coordinate receiving, inspection, storage, and shipment of products and materials.
• Verify inventory transactions and documentation; assist with cycle counts.
• Ensure orders are picked, staged, loaded, and shipped on schedule.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain warehouse organization and storage standards; resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate with customer service, sales, transportation, and management teams.
