The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of warehouse experience, 1 year in a leadership role, forklift experience, and basic computer skills including WMS and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years warehouse experience, preferably in flooring, building materials, distribution, or logistics environments.
• At least 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including WMS, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory reports.

Responsibilities

Salary based on experience.Position SummaryThe Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and leading a team of warehouse associates in a fast-paced flooring distribution environment. This role ensures accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping of flooring products while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive workplace. The Warehouse Team Lead serves as the primary point of contact for warehouse employees during assigned shifts and supports operational goals related to quality, customer service, and efficiency.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead, train, coach, and support warehouse associates in daily operations.Assign work activities and monitor productivity to ensure operational goals are met.Coordinate the receiving, inspection, storage, and shipment of flooring products, accessories, and related materials.Verify accuracy of inventory transactions, shipments, and receiving documentation.Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory processes.Ensure orders are picked, staged, loaded, and shipped accurately and on schedule.Operate and enforce safe use of forklifts and material handling equipment.Monitor warehouse organization, cleanliness, and product storage standards.Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.Communicate with customer service, sales, transportation, and management teams regarding order status and warehouse needs.Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.Conduct shift meetings and communicate performance expectations.Assist in performance management, employee training, and onboarding activities.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and service levels.Perform warehouse duties as needed, including loading, unloading, picking, packing, and inventory management.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse experience, preferably in flooring, building materials, distribution, or logistics environments.At least 1 year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse procedures.Basic computer skills, including warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory reports.
