Job summary

Preferred Floor & Tile CO. (PF&TCO) in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Warehouse Worker to manage daily warehouse operations for a mid-size flooring facility. The role includes picking and staging daily jobs, updating the inventory system, and supervising staff as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of warehouse experience, strong English communication, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Flooring experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related warehouse experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping documents, and material instructions; ability to write correspondence.
• Flooring warehouse experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills: basic algebraic operations.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 100 lbs.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Picks and stages daily jobs; prepares materials for daily jobs; accepts and stores inventory and labels it.
• Ensures work orders, status updates, shipping/receiving confirmations, and material returns are entered into the inventory system.
• Monitors inventory to ensure accuracy at all times.
• Processes freight trucks promptly.
• Conducts monthly inventory counts, identifies discrepancies and reconciles differences.
• Supervises and coaches staff to perform duties and develop skills.
• Keeps warehouse and surrounding area clean and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
