Floor Coverings International of Northeast Seattle is seeking a Design Associate / Sales Consultant to guide clients through flooring selections in their homes. You will meet with customers, present options, and coordinate with installation teams using our sales system.

This full-time role requires sales experience, willingness to work some evenings/weekends, paid training, and the potential to grow as the company expands. A company car is provided for work appointments.

Qualifications

• Sales experience required.
• In-home sales or flooring sales experience preferred.
• Paid training provided.
• Full-time position; remote ad-hoc work allowed when not in client consultations or meetings.
• Travel to annual company convention in Cabo, Mexico may be required.

Responsibilities

• Visit client homes to discuss flooring projects.
• Follow Sales System using tablet, laptop, and software.
• Be the single point of contact for customers' flooring requests.
• Coordinate installation timing and communication with the Office Manager.
• Communicate customer needs to Install Manager to ensure smooth jobs.
• Maintain customer relationships and develop referral sources.

Design Associate Job Details & Perks:

Design Associate Key Responsibilities:

• Go out to client’s homes and meet with them regarding their flooring project
• Follow our Sales System using our tablet, laptop, and software (non-negotiable)
• Act as the single point of contact to the customer for all types of flooring service requests
• Coordinate installation time and communication schedule with Office Manager
• Communicate customer needs/expectations to Install Manager to make jobs go smoothly
• Ability to maintain customer relationships and develop key referral sources to generate ongoing business
• Engage in on-going training/educational requirements (may involve travel at company expense)

Pay:

Base salary + commissions. Potential earnings are $60,000 - $100,000 for the average Design Associate. Above-average Design Associates earn $130,000 +.

Structure: The position is offered as a contract role for 120 days with option to hire as a full time employee with benefits.

• first 30 days: hourly pay + training bonus
• days 31 to 120: 7% to 10% commission on sales
• 120+ days: option to become effective hire with salary + commission structure
