Job summary

Gulf Coast Flooring & Services is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage material flow, scheduling, and documentation for commercial flooring projects on-site in Houston, TX. This role supports Project Managers and Superintendents by confirming products, quantities, lead times, and deliveries to keep jobs moving smoothly.

Responsibilities include tracking submittals and change orders, coordinating with the warehouse, and maintaining accurate project files and installation specs.

Qualifications

• Knows flooring types and materials used (LVP/LVT, carpet tile vs broadloom).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in docs and schedules.
• Ability to coordinate material flow, lead times, and deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Confirm materials before job release: product, color, quantity, and sundries.
• Chase lead times, stock, and flag shortages before crews are stopped.
• Coordinate warehouse staging, loading and delivery ahead of install date.
• Prepare and track submittals, work orders and change orders for flooring scopes.
• Maintain clean project files with cut sheets and installation specs.
• Update project system so estimators, supers and PMs have the same information.
• Attend internal project meetings and follow up to completion.
