Job summary

Encore Design Services seeks a Flooring Field Manager in the Phoenix area to lead a team of Field Superintendents across active builder communities. You’ll set quality standards, guide crews, and keep production schedules moving.

In this executive, on-site role you’ll coach Superintendents, review site documentation, resolve escalations, and partner with builders and our internal team to deliver installations that meet ROC/ANSI standards and client specs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in residential flooring installation across Tile, Carpet, Surrounds, and Wood/LVP

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of Flooring Field Superintendents across active builder communities
• Conduct quality-control walks and job site visits ensuring installs meet Encore, Arizona ROC, and manufacturer standards
• Serve as the escalation point for field issues—material shortages, crew performance, and builder change requests
• Act as primary contact between Superintendents, builder representatives, and the internal Encore team
• Train and develop Superintendents on installation standards, safety, and Encore’s quality expectations
• Review job site documentation and production reports for accuracy and follow-through
• Provide performance feedback and support hiring and development decisions for the Superintendent team

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Flooring Field Manager to lead and support our team of Field Superintendents across our active builder communities. This is a fast-paced, production home building environment — Superintendents run the day-to-day on their job sites, and you’ll be the one they turn to for guidance, accountability, and quick decisions when something needs to move fast. You’ll set the standard for quality and performance across the team and keep Encore’s field operations running at a high level.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of Flooring Field Superintendents across active builder communities
• Conduct quality-control walks and job site visits alongside Superintendents, ensuring installs meet Encore, Arizona ROC, and manufacturer standards
• Serve as the escalation point for field issues Superintendents can’t resolve on their own — material shortages, crew performance, builder change requests
• Serve as the primary point of contact between Superintendents, builder representatives, and the internal Encore team
• Train and develop Superintendents on installation standards, safety, and Encore’s quality expectations
• Review job site documentation, punch lists, and production reports from Superintendents for accuracy and follow-through
• Provide performance feedback and support hiring and development decisions for the Superintendent team

What You Bring

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in residential flooring installation, with strong working knowledge across Tile, Carpet, Surrounds, and Wood/LVP
• Proven experience leading and developing a team of superintendents, forepersons, or crew leads in a production home building environment
• Working knowledge of Arizona ROC and ANSI installation standards
• Strong problem-solving instincts — comfortable thinking outside the box when a job site throws a curveball
• A team-first mindset and a track record of earning trust with crews, subs, and builder partners
• Strong computer and technology skills, with the ability to manage analytics in our industry-leading system
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with builder superintendents and trade partners
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
