Job summary

Great Floors, a subsidiary of Artisan Design Group, seeks a Flooring Estimator to support project planning and cost estimation for flooring installations. You will review plans, prepare take-offs, and coordinate with vendors to reflect current material costs.

Qualifications

• AA degree, Trade Tech degree or three years of related experience or training in estimating software such as MeasureSquare, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic estimating tools.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate material take-offs and cost estimates for flooring projects based on plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, bid documents, and project revisions to ensure estimates reflect current project scope.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing and ensure estimates are aligned with current material costs.
• Develop and maintain estimating templates to support consistency and efficiency across projects
• Utilize estimating software and Microsoft Excel to generate proposals and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor and respond to estimate requests, ensuring timely delivery of proposals to support project timelines.
• Manage multiple estimating assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized documentation for all estimates, including revisions and change orders.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and compliance standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
