Qualifications

• Experience as flooring estimator in a general contracting or subcontracting environment.
• Proficiency with estimating platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, RSMeans, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of flooring materials, installation methods, construction processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in negotiation and client interaction.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documents to produce accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, general contractors, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost calculations using industry-standard estimating software.
• Evaluate material, labor, equipment, and installation costs to establish project budgets.
• Identify potential risks, discrepancies, or value-engineering opportunities in project documents.
• Prepare clear, detailed proposals and cost breakdowns for internal teams and client presentations.
• Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and project kickoff discussions.
• Stay informed on market pricing trends, material innovations, and industry standards to ensure accurate, competitive bids.
