Job summary

DCO Commercial Floors seeks an Estimator to support sales and operations by preparing precise quantity takeoffs, pricing, and proposals for commercial flooring projects. Reporting to the Senior Estimator, you will help ensure bids are timely, accurate, and aligned with project requirements to drive profitable work.

You will collaborate with sales, operations, and vendors to support preconstruction efforts, manage RFIs, and maintain organized estimating files using standard templates and software.

Qualifications

• Accurate quantity takeoffs using digital software for flooring, walls, and finishes.
• Ability to validate plans, specs, and addenda for completeness.
• Clear communication of assumptions and clarifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely takeoffs for flooring projects.
• Assemble proposal packages with scope, pricing, clarifications, alternates, and inclusions.
• Manage bid deadlines and communicate delays proactively.
• Maintain estimating files using standardized systems and templates.
• Identify missing information and raise RFIs when needed.
• Support learning and development to improve speed and accuracy.
• Ensure estimates reflect target margins and pricing strategy.
