Job summary

Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. is seeking an Estimator for the New Construction Flooring Team. The estimator will provide detailed drawings and material quotes for flooring, countertops and backsplashes, and will perform on-site measurements to support sales and design. A self-starter who adapts to a wide range of client needs is essential.

The role requires strong math, blueprint reading, and communication skills, plus a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Basic construction knowledge required.
• Ability to perform accurate calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and specifications.
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management to meet deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete onsite estimating of new construction and remodel properties.
• Field measure job sites for accurate estimates.
• Provide detailed drawings and material quantity quotes.
• Manage changes to drawings and materials with sales/design teams.
• Foster strong relationships with customers and internal staff.
