Job summary

Lumber Liquidators in Hillsborough, NJ is hiring a full-time Sales Associate to meet with customers, understand flooring needs, and guide them from consult through sale and follow-up.

You will build a strong showroom experience, drive sales, and maintain relationships for repeat business. Must be able to work a flexible schedule; bilingual skills and forklift certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of retail or sales experience.
• Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills.
• Bilingual Spanish is a bonus.
• Forklift certification required prior to operation.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to understand flooring needs, style, project, budget, and timeline.
• Consult, recommend, and sell the right flooring products and solutions.
• Own the customer experience from initial conversation through sale and follow-up.
• Build a pipeline of opportunities and actively follow up to close business.
• Ask for the sale and confidently overcome objections.
• Develop relationships that generate repeat business, referrals, and new opportunities.
• Use product knowledge and sales tools to create solutions—not just quote prices.
• Achieve individual sales and conversion goals.
• Maintain an organized showroom to help customers visualize projects.
• Process sales and orders accurately and ensure customers receive what they purchased.
• Support inventory and day-to-day store operations when needed.
