Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Design Consultant to meet with customers, listen to project needs, and develop a design concept reflecting their personal style, lifestyle, and budget. You will help clients select products, schedule appointments, and collaborate with store leadership to drive design sales in a fast-paced retail environment.

A minimum of 1 year in design or retail is required; a Design degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience required.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice to homeowners and designers.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
