Job summary

Vassar & Company Properties seeks experienced Flooring Contractors to support renovation, turnover, and property improvement projects across our portfolio. This is a 1099 contractor role offering flexible, project-based scheduling with assignments based on scope, timelines, and property needs.

We’re seeking professionals with proven residential and/or light commercial flooring installation experience, capable of handling LVP/LVT, tile, laminate, hardwood, or carpet and skilled in subfloor prep,

Qualifications

• Valid contractor license required (if required by state/local regulations).
• Proven experience in residential and/or light commercial flooring installation.
• Ability to install multiple flooring types (LVP/LVT, tile, laminate, hardwood, carpet).
• Knowledge of subfloor prep, leveling, and moisture control.

Responsibilities

• Install various flooring types (LVP/LVT, tile, laminate, hardwood, carpet).
• Prepare subfloors, level, and manage moisture control.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and ensure high finishing quality.

Job description

We are seeking experienced Flooring Contractors to support renovation, turnover, and property improvement projects across our portfolio.

This is a 1099 contractor role offering flexible, project-based scheduling. Projects are assigned based on scope, timelines, and property needs, allowing you to take on work that aligns with your availability and capacity.

Responsibilities Include

• Valid contractor license (if required by State of Florida/local regulations)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Proven experience in residential and/or light commercial flooring installation
• Ability to install a variety of flooring types (LVP/LVT, tile, laminate, hardwood, carpet)
• Knowledge of subfloor preparation, leveling, and moisture control
• Must have your own tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail, alignment, and finishing quality
• Ability to manage projects, timelines, and job site cleanliness
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
